  • Bernd Schneider: 1995 champion, who went on to become the most successful DTM driver in history with five titles.
  • Jorg van Ommen: a 1994 race winner and consistent front-runner.
  • Roland Asch: a multiple race winner who also drove the Super Touring C-Class.
  • Dario Franchitti: raced the C-Class in 1995 and 1996, third in the 1995 standings, before moving to the US and winning three Indy 500s.
  • Jan Magnussen: partnered Franchitti, fourth in 1995, before a move to Formula 1.
  • Uwe Alzen and a young Alexander Wurz also had outings in the C-Class before their later careers.
