The account documents a heavily modified Mercedes-Benz 190E built on the W201 platform for German hill climb competition under the NAVC series. The owner has progressively replaced nearly every exterior body panel with hand-laminated kevlar components, including the roof, doors, bonnet, bootlid, rear window, side panels, and front and rear bumpers, reducing total weight to a target below 900 kg.

The drivetrain centres on a rebuilt M111 turbocharged four-cylinder with individual throttle bodies, a custom intake manifold, and a GTX-series turbocharger. Power output reached 303 hp at only 0.8 bar of boost during initial dyno runs. Drive is sent through a six-speed gearbox adapted with a BMW shifter, a custom propshaft flange, and a 185 mm differential with shortened driveshafts sourced from a W210.

Chassis modifications include CNC-machined prototype front knuckles that lower the car by 50 mm while restoring correct wishbone geometry, Strongflex polyurethane bushings, and a 260 mm motorcycle brake disc conversion at the rear to reduce unsprung mass. A titanium exhaust system fabricated by KC CustomParts weighs 4.4 kg in total.

The car competed in its first season at events including Klotten, Queidersbach, Bollenbach, and Muehlbach in Austria, using the season primarily to identify mechanical issues such as driveshaft failures, turbo oil feed problems, and electrical faults before a planned full assault the following year.
