I was looking for a 2.6 that had been specified like someone in Europe still cared in 1990.
Sportline. Five-speed. M103. Nautical Blue over the blue cloth. Gullideckels. That is already the car. Then someone in period added Lorinser, the valances, the decklid script, the wheel, the muffler, the painted cam cover. Not a widebody. Not a tribute kit from last year. The mild stuff you ordered when you could still walk into a tuner and leave with a catalogue.
It came from Europe in March 2025. Veritas had it in Houston and went through the cooling system before they listed it with pump, thermostat, both fans, belt, hoses, the boring work that keeps an M103 from becoming a story you do not want.
I bought it because the six and the manual together are the W201 I actually want to drive. The Cosworths are other people’s religion. This one is a Sportline that got dressed before it left home.

The M103 inline-six features a color-keyed valve cover with a Lorinser badge, as well, and a Lorinser muffler is noted by the selling dealer. They tell us that the radiator and air conditioning were serviced along with fluids and filters in July 2025, and the following components were replaced: Water pump and thermostat Auxiliary cooling fan Viscous cooling fan clutch Drive belt and tensioners Hoses and coolant level sensor Oil pressure sending unit

The sport seats are trimmed in blue cloth with patterned inserts that extend to the door panels, and the cabin has a contoured rear bench, power windows, Clarion speakers, an Alpine stereo with Bluetooth and a USB port, and Lorinser-script door sill plates.

The 15″ Gullideckel wheels were mounted with 225/50 Kumho Ecsta AST tires

The Sportline package included quick-ratio steering in addition to sport-tuned suspension, and anti-lock disc brakes provide stopping power.
