This Mercedes R129 SL320 is a long-running owner-built project centred on a custom fiberglass widebody kit fabricated entirely on the owner’s driveway. The body kit was designed and moulded by the owner without professional shop involvement, covering side skirts, front splitter, rear spoiler, and wide fenders, then painted and finished in a single-car garage.

Air Lift Performance air suspension brings the car to ground level, and the fitment has been refined across several build phases. Wheels are three-piece split-rim units from 6AD Forged, whose faces were sanded to a polished finish by the owner. A partial PPF installation by Identity Wraps in Kent protects high-impact body panels including the bonnet, wings, A-pillars, and boot.

The car has been shown at UK events including Slammeduk Gravity, Roll Hard, and the NEC Classic Motor Show, and has travelled to European events including Heaven on Wheels in Belgium and Ultrace in Wroclaw, Poland, where it appeared on the centre stage in 2024. A top-ten award at Heaven on Wheels marked its first European competitive result.

By late 2024 the owner announced a third major revision, referred to internally as V3, focused on converting the car to a full widebody configuration with cut arches. Fabrication work on this phase began in mid-2026, with the build documented from initial panel cutting through to wheel and suspension mock-up.
